Cathy and Duane first married on August 13, 1977. Duane was 20 years old and Cathy was sweet 16. They stayed
together for 10 years. Their first children were twin girls that were born premature and died. 13 months later
God blessed them with a beautiful, healthy boy named Philip.
Duane was called into ministry but ran from his calling. We began to grow apart and sadly ended our marriage 1
week short of our 10th anniversary. Both eventually remarried. Duane had 2 more children, Trenton and Kaitlyn.
Ultimately those marriages also failed.
After 15 years apart, God brought us back together! We remarried on March 9, 2003. Duane accepted his call
to ministry in August 2003. Cathy has been singing for many years and has taught sunday school and women's study courses.
She has just begun to preach this year.
Just as our salvation brought us back to our first love, Christ Jesus, He has brought us back to our first human love,
each other! Therefore, we felt lead to name our ministry First Love Ministries in recognition of God's wonderful support
of restoration. He is truly a God of second chances!!
